Ever thought about playing Hockey?
Hockey is an amazing, fantastic, thrilling, fast, all encompassing sport for Men, Women and Kids!
Men / Boys – if you enjoy playing football but find you just can’t get into the team regularly, why not try Hockey? The similarities to football are considerable and the great thing is there’s no off-side rule! So long as you remember not to kick the ball you’ll be fine; if you can play football, you can play hockey!
Women / Girls – bored with Netball and Rounder’s or can’t find a ladies football team in your area; why not use your skill and enthusiasm to play Hockey? For those of you who can remember the joy of playing hockey on grass; those days are gone, as the sport is played exclusively on Astroturf now!
Think you’re too old – you can still be involved by Umpiring (referee), coaching or volunteering to help!
You can get involved in so many ways – playing, coaching or umpiring – it’s a game the whole family can enjoy!

Hockey is a great way to keep fit and to make friends and the family culture of North Notts is the ideal place to play the game.
North Notts Hockey Club is based at the Manor Complex, Kingsley Avenue, Mansfield Woodhouse, Notts. The club was established in 1949, is run by volunteers and has a family-friendly culture. We have members from across the Mansfield, Ashfield, Bolsover districts and beyond! If you’re looking to play hockey in the North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire area, then North Notts is the club for you!
Club features include:
- Dedicated Training on Astroturf, with experienced coaches
- England Hockey ClubsFirst Accreditation – official Bolsover District Council and Manor School linked club
- A thriving and professionally-run Junior (Under 18’s) Academy Section
- All training and home games take place at the Manor Complex, Kingsley Avenue, Mansfield Woodhouse, Notts
- Teams for all ages and abilities – 6 x Male, 3 x Female + Under-18’s teams
- Excellent clubhouse facilities at Debdale Park, Mansfield Woodhouse, Notts
- An extremely modest Annual Club Membership Fee – the lowest in the Region!
How Much?
North Notts Hockey Club have the lowest Annual Membership Fees in the Region:
- Adult Membership = £20.00 per year
- Under-18 Membership = £10.00 per year
- Full-time Student Membership = £10.00 per year
- Unwaged Membership = £20.00 per year
- Social (non-playing) Membership = £10.00 per year
Match & Training fees are as follows:
- Adult Men = £10.00 per match
- Adult Ladies = £10.00 per match
- U18 / Unwaged / Students = £5.00 per match
Match fees include a contribution towards training – if you do not play on a weekend £2.00 is payable on training nights.

Located in Mansfield Woodhouse, our catchment area includes Bolsver District, Ashfield District, Newark & Sherwood District and Amber Valley District with members coming from Alfreton, Selston, Retford, Hucknall and Newark, as well as Mansfield.
